The VDK Groep further expands its expertise in installation technology with the acquisition of Dijksma Koudetechniek in Emmeloord, a specialist in complex cooling and freezing systems for the agricultural sector and industry. This step strengthens the VDK Groep’s position in refrigeration technology and reinforces its presence in the market for high-end industrial installations.
Leading family business in refrigeration technology
Dijksma Koudetechniek designs, builds, and maintains high-quality cooling and freezing installations for the storage of fruit, vegetables, flower bulbs, and the fish industry. Founded in 1978, the family-owned company also provides the associated electrical installations and offers additional services in energy management and air conditioning.
Logical next step
For Managing Director Henk Dijksma, the partnership with the VDK Groep marks a logical next step in the company’s development. “Regulations in our sector are becoming increasingly complex, and finding skilled technical staff is a challenge,” says Henk Dijksma. “By joining the VDK Groep, we can benefit from their knowledge, scale, and expertise – in areas such as legislation, digitalisation, and recruitment. At the same time, we retain our identity and continue to serve our customers with the same commitment and personal service. I will continue to lead Dijksma Koudetechniek within the structure of the VDK Groep.”
Frans van der Kolk, CEO and founder of the VDK Groep:
“With Dijksma Koudetechniek, we are adding a strong and specialised family business to the VDK Groep. Dijksma has an excellent reputation in both the industry and the region and has deep expertise in cooling and freezing installations, which will strengthen our position in the market and expand our services for industrial clients. We warmly welcome Henk and his team of 40 employees to the VDK family.”
