With EFS Haustechnik ElektroFriedrichSanitär GmbH, the VDK Group is bringing on board an established specialist covering the full spectrum of domestic and building services engineering and industrial pipework. With its 128 employees, this long-established Kassel-based company strengthens the group’s market position in the strategically important region of Central Germany. The established brand, all branches and the operational management under Peter Krisor, who has been managing director for many years, will remain entirely unchanged.
Kassel, 28 July 2026 – The decarbonisation of the construction sector and the modernisation of industrial infrastructure will require extensive technical capabilities in the coming years. The successful execution of these tasks in the market depends to a large extent on the regional availability of qualified personnel. Against this backdrop, the European VDK Group is expanding its presence in Central Hesse: EFS Haustechnik ElektroFriedrichSanitär GmbH (EFS), headquartered in Kassel, has joined the group to further expand its range of services in the field of energy-efficient refurbishment.
Building Intelligence service portfolio and industrial specialisation
Founded in 1966, EFS has established itself in the region as a technical service provider. It covers the core competencies of modern building services engineering: from plumbing, heating, ventilation and electrical engineering, through technical infrastructure, to maintenance and repairs. A further technical specialisation lies in the field of industrial pipework, which is handled by the company’s own branch in Baunatal.
The company employs around 128 staff and supports clients throughout the entire project cycle. Its regular client base includes the public sector, the housing sector and companies from the automotive and process industries, including the Volkswagen factory.

Regional continuity and securing new talent
In addition to the operational delivery of projects, EFS is committed to training its own skilled staff. With a training intake of around 11 per cent (currently 14 trainees), the company ensures the long-term expertise at its branches. The company’s structure remains unchanged following the merger. Dipl.-Ing.Bauassessor Peter Krisor, who took over the company in 2005 as part of a succession plan, will continue to lead the company in the future. For customers, employees and partners, the familiar continuity remains assured: the branches in Kassel, Baunatal-Rengerhausen and Eschwege, as well as the established EFS brand, will be fully
maintained.
