Sustainable LED lighting in the historic city center of Hoorn

Public lighting with traditional Dutch masts and brackets installed by VDK company Klaver Giant Group.

Commissioned by the Municipality of Hoorn, a large part of the city centre has been provided with sustainable LED lighting by VDK company Klaver Giant Group. To safeguard the characteristic streetscape, the public lighting has been placed in old Dutch masts.

Sustainable LED lighting in the historic city center of Hoorn

Public lighting with character, that is what the historic city center of Hoorn is asking for. Commissioned by the Municipality of Hoorn, a large part of the streets in the old city center have recently been provided with sustainable LED lighting with old Dutch masts and brackets. With these 450 historic street lamps, the municipality cherishes the nostalgic atmosphere of the city.

A multifaceted project from start to finish

For Klaver Giant Groep, the installation of the special masts is a multifaceted project, in which many facets come together. Communication with residents where the lighting is mounted on their facade, secure installation due to the old state of the buildings, underground challenges, limited accessibility and cooperation with the municipality.

In short, a beautiful and challenging project that uniquely highlights the historical character of the city.
